@youknowwhoyouaremeep wants singing headcanons, I will give singing headcanons. I actually wrote a short fic about the boys singing so I'll spin off of that

Time:

He's got the lowest voice no question. It's a true bass, the good kush right there

Now he's no like opera singer, but he's not half bad! Lack regardless of training he's got a voice you can just sit and listen to forever, and he knows it very well. He's usually musical accompaniment, but when he does sing, it's a treat.

Maybe I like a good bass singer is that a crime

Definitely the type to know lullabies and folk songs, maybe some ballads, generally songs with a lot of emotion and feeling

Twilight

Country roads, take me hooome

Okay but seriously the country accent comes out thicker when he sings (he got a little shy about his accent during his travels, so got into the habit of covering it up)

He knows campfire songs, memorized them for the village children

One of the lower voices, but he's got a bit of a range ngl

Warriors

Baritooooone

Smooth as molasses. This boy DID get training at some point, and boy does it show.

Probably does know some opera just to be a showy boy like he is

Actually he won't admit it, but he's a SAP for doing duets. Getting this out of him is like opening a rusted treasure chest, but a sweet lovey duet is his favorite things so long as nobody else is watching

Pretty good at soulful songs

Four

Also in the voice training club

THE RANGE, HE HAS IT

Generally very even voice, excellent breath control, can pull out some surprisingly powerful notes for such a little guy

Has a wide variety of things he likes to sing, depends on his mood

The Four Colors can barber shop quartet, no I don't take constructive criticism

Wind

One of the naturally higher voices since he's still young and hasn't quite hit the vocal change yet

Sometimes gets voice cracks, then he's poked fun at, then someone gets kicked in the shins

Knows all the sea shanties, of course

Is very good particularly at story songs, the ones where it's a musical epic. Like if he did Mariner's Revenge? Oh baby

Wild

Despite being hopeless with instruments, yes he can sing

A very melodic voice, higher tenor range

Vibratoooo

The others are sure he was trained in voice at some point, but he can neither confirm nor deny that fact

Lullabies are his favorite, but he likes when the group gets to sing songs

How does he make up those harmonies?? Teach me your ways witch

In reality he's too often reminded of a voice in his dreams

A raspy sort of voice, you know the kind. Super raw with emotion when he sings

Hyrule

An untrained voice that's just nice in its simplicity

Bit of a higher range

He doesn't know all the tricks but he does know the words and how to follow a melody, and that's all he really needs

He knows the folk tunes he hears from passerby, the songs of the fairies he's heard in the night

Whatever emotions he's feeling when he's singing, you know and feel it to. He could start a revolution and lead it with that voice somehow. He could charm your socks off

He doesn't realize this tho and just thinks his voice is pretty ordinary

Sky

TENOR

Soft and sweet

If you weren't soft about Sky before you will be when he sings

Does he know the love songs? Yes, he does, and he practices them so he can sing them to Zelda when he sees her next

Sometimes he'll sing to the flowers or a little animal he finds and it's super cute

When she’s feeling up for a spar to knock her on her ass, Vivi likes to take her training out to Fuu’s lab. Fuu is more than happy to record her fight data, get whatever Kili he can get out of the fight, and just enjoy the show.

The spar doesn’t take place in the lab itself, but in the domed colosseum that rests atop of Fuu’s home. The glass and metal that surrounds the arena is made of reinforced energy crystal and Katchin metal. The dome could be shattered and broken by powerful fighters on its own, so Fuu has -through trial and error- built and implemented a Ki nullifying field based on his and Vivi’s research into Ki Suppression Waves.

The Ki Suppression Waves are concentrated into the katchin and glass to act as a barrier that nullifies Ki from having an effect on the dome itself without nullifying the Ki of whoever is touching the insides of the dome, allowing for a fight that can be sufficiently contained and allow for any stray energy blasts to be contained, absorbed, and redirected into the energy coffers that help power Fuu’s lab.

Usually, Vivi spars with Clone!Mira- the same Mira copy that Fuu made for the purpose of fighting in his Crystal Raid fighting ring. Clone!Mira and Vivi are around the same power level, and so the fights are fairly even. Vivi doesn’t spar with Fuu himself too often, but he’s more than happy to help her brush up on her half-swording skills when she’s feeling up to it.

Ink, your headcanons for the boys make me soft. I love them so much. Idk if you're looking for more headcanon requests but what if more soft headcanons? Like idk, whose really cuddly when they sleep?

SLEEP HEADCANONS??? HUG HEADCANONS??? YEAH

Time

Time is not necessarily a cuddler, but he is good to cuddle because he has Big Dad Energy

He doesn't sleep much though, poor guy. It's hard for him to get a good night's rest, especially on the road. Too many memories

It's better when he's home with Malon

Twilight

Sometimes gets worried about the others, just like, anxious that something will happen to someone when he isn't conscious.

This is remedied by serveral people snuggling with him

Wolfie form is big cuddle companion, good comfort, pillow. He doesn't mind, it's his job.

Warriors

Warriors is used to sleeping in the presence of others, but not necessarily with others. It takes him sometime to actually fall asleep when someone snuggles up to him because it's a bit odd, but like, in a good way

Tends to wrap his arm protectively around those snuggling with him. It's an instinct

Four

Four likes snuggles. It's weird to be solitary in a way. Like, he can sleep alone just fine, but sleeping curled up next to someone is better

When split up, the Four tend to form a cuddle pile. Anyone is welcome

Wind

Wind likes hugging a lot. He's a little clinger, and will wrap his arms around you and stay that way for the rest of the night. It can make it difficult to move but it's so cute no one can be upset about it

He also likes stealing blankets tho so watch out

Wild

Wild was kind of skittish before with touch, like he prefers sleeping near people but it took a bit of time for him to get used to any sort of touch.

Once the others got accepted as Family, though, he loves nothing more then to flop on top of someone and pass out

Doesn't matter what you're doing, if he wants cuddles, he's gonna get them

Legend

Ah yes, the prickly man himself

Tends to avoid physical contact, says it bothers him, and most of the time that's how he rolls

But sometimes he needs hugs. And sometimes others need hugs. And while he'll complain about it, he never actually gets mad

Hyrule

Hyrule was so foreign to cuddling when everyone first met that Sky nearly cried

He has now learned the joys of hugs and will wrap his arms around the others any chance he gets

Still prefers to sleep alone though, but will not deny cuddles if someone comes seeking him

Sky

Gives best soft cuddles, will wrap person up in his cloth/blanket/whatever he has on hand

Can sleep anywhere it's a fact

One time fell asleep on top of Legend, who complained much but became resigned to his fate. Wild has a picture

If anyone has trouble sleeping, go sleep next to Sky, his sleepy soft cuddly demeanor is contagious

In honor of this week's server poll, how about some dancing headcanons?

Time:

So part of Time's dancing is because of his fighting prowess. He learned to be quick on his feet, so he's really good at footwork. However, he's just... not sure what to do with his upper half. He's kind of awkward like that. It lends itself well to river dance, which he probably learned at some point on his travels (can't decide where... maybe the Zora?)

He's also not half bad at pair dancing, particularly with Malon. The trick with anything aside from river dance etc is to get him to stop being self conscious, so dancing with Malon really helps with that

Twilight:

Alright, now this is obvious, but he's familiar with country-type dances, like square dances. It's the kind of thing villages do for festivals, so everyone involved becomes well versed in them. He teaches the others some of his favorites, and they all participate on nights where the stars are out and they're well rested and in high spirits.

He catches onto other not overly complicated dances without too much issue as well, so he's not likely to make a fool of himself in formal dance situations

Warriors:

He's the captain of the guard, he knows how to waltz for formal reasons. However, at various points along the journey he encountered many people and many different dances. He really likes the more fun types of dance, especially ones that show off how in shape he is because he is just a tad vain.

Midna and Ruto thought it was hilarious to teach him the less traditional dances and Impa was. Tired. But anyway he's well versed in several dances and likes to show off on occasion

Aside from being a showoff, he really did like dancing with friends a lot. He and the gals partied. It's a fact

Four:

So yes I like the idea that Four knows waltz due to being childhood friends with Zelda. It makes sense.

HOWEVER, I also like the idea that some of the Colors know other dances. Vio is really good with swing dance, Blue is surprisingly well versed in like, tap dance. Green and Red though? Lost. They don't know anything else.

This leads to a strange "Four can sometimes dance and sometimes can't. No we don't know what his deal is"

Wind:

Is bapy!! Okay but really he's not super familiar with any sort of official dance either. For him it's a 'move to the beat' kind of deal. Just do what feels right! Whether what feels right actually looks like a dance or looks like he's a fish out of water is a different story.

The closest thing to an actual dance that he knows is something the pirates do. It's hard to explain, but it's a kind of cross between a duel and a dance. There's like a 75% chance of injury. It's not a recommended activity, no matter how much Wind insists that it's fun.

Wild:

Okay so this is a long-standing headcanon, but in answer to if he can dance: yes. Once again, similar to Four and Warriors, waltz is something he knows for formal reasons, though for him it isn't a concious memory but more muscle memory, a forgotten remnant of his time as a royal guard.

Aside from that, he's similar to Leg in of that he picked up other dances on his travels. The different races and cities in Hyrule have different dances, and Wild knows them all. The belly-dancing Gerudo, the strong stamps of the Gorons (you know like those Polynesian/Hawaiian dances the men do? That), the swaying and spinning of the Rito, the elegant movements of the Zora. He's danced them all.

He cannot, however, play an instrument to save his life. Do not give him an instrument. At best, it will be offkey. At worst, he will break it. Leave him to the dancefloor, not the band. ((This headcanon is very relevant to my Feral AU))

Legend:

So, Legend can canonically dance. We know this. Personal headcanons are that he's well traveled, and has picked up many, many dances along the way. From formal to traditional to modern, the boy has moves and he's extremely good at it, arguably overall the best dancer out of the nine.

Here's the thing: it's actually pretty hard to get him to dance. He's prickly and touchy, and convincing him to do something like that can take some work. Easiest way? Challenge his skills. He is a prideful creature and will defend his honor. Warriors knows this well and they've had several dance offs as a result.

Despite that, there's one thing he can't do, and that's slow pair dances. He never really learned that one, and the one time he tried... well, that's a dream gone by.

Hyrule:

So, we all know the boy is our "Street Smarts" kid. He's not exactly taught in dance. In fact he's not super familiar with the concept? Like, he likes music, and he likes kind of tapping his feet to it, but has no concept of how you're supposed to dance. He sees people do it, but feels silly trying to do what they're doing. If he catches onto a dance, it's probably something simple and more based on the emotions and the heart as opposed to footwork. Footwork confuses him.

Potentially could get good at something like theatre dance if given time

Sky:

Soft bird boy... so I believe that at some point during his schooling everyone is taught a traditional dance. It's a sort of group thing for festivals, something like a square dance but not quite as like, folksy? It's a bit more organized and elegant than your standard square dance.

He also knows how to slow dance, because Zelda insisted on them learning it. It took a while, but he knows the ins and outs of several pair dances and is a very good dance partner.

Now, more fast-paced, complicated dances? Nope. Gets left behind, probably trips. He'd love to learn but it takes time he just doesn't have right now, so he'll politely clap on the sidelines so he doesn't get trampled and cause a domino effect

Seriously though he's been turned into several things in the past, why not a mermaid

Why? A mermaid?? What did he do to deserve this

Thinks about what would happen if he tried transforming into Wolfie for a minute before deciding that's a bad idea

Warriors

At last he can live out his dreams of sitting prettily on rocks all day

Would probably just sit and admire his tail for a while, like guys look at how shiny it is I'm sparkly now

One of the first ones to start testing and figuring out combat in this form

Four

There's a lot going on in his head here, but he's pretty chill it seems?

At least until he splits and you find that

Red is absolutely enthralled and overjoyed

Vio is practically vibrating as he mutters about needing to run tests and how is he supposed to take notes without them getting soaked??

Blue joins War in figuring out how combat is supposed to work while complaining about it

Green is. Tired.

Wind

Wind is living the dream tbh

Like he has a fish tail! Can swim super fast and breathe underwater! Why wouldn't he be overjoyed?

Swims circles around everyone because he's so excited

Wild

It's a little weird but pretty neat actually

Like in some ways not too far off from some moves he does in the Zora armor, so this isn't too strange

Hey what's down here in the water anyway I want to explore

Oh that's a shark oh no it's angry oops

Okay but he's actually canonically used something similar to a mer-tail so while this is annoying he's actually already pretty familiar with how to get around like this

Might join Warriors in figuring out combat after finding water resistance is a thing that is a little annoying

A cuddly man

Not in a super overt way but if he's missed someone or was worried will absolutely wrap his arms around them in a big ole' bear hug

Likes play wrestling. If you're smaller than him he will fling you over his shoulder. Even if you're not smaller than him he probably still can. Honestly Time is probably the only person Twi hasn't flung over his shoulder and that's just because the moment hasn't arrived yet

NOOGIES

Won't admit it but actually does like head scritchies in both forms but you have to be one of the Accepted people

Warriors

This mans will bother you because he wants attention

Like just dramatically drape himself over someone's side until they pay attention, whether it's laughing or shoving him off

Likes playing with hair, whether it's ruffling it or brushing or, if their hair is long enough, braiding

Wraps his scarf around someone and goes "scarf buddies"

Compliments. He gives many.

Four

Sometimes he gets really excited about things and just hugs people

Is also a utilizer of many back pats

The master of telling a joke and keeping a straight face just to see someone laugh

If someone is short enough he'll rest his head on their head or shoulder with his arms wrapped around them. If they're too tall for either he'll just kind of gently headbutt their side

Cooking headcanon? I know we know how some of them are, but like who is that one person in the group that will somehow burn water? Who could be a good assistant? So on so forth.

So let's start with what we already know. Wild could probably win master chef. Time is familiar with cooking, as he is shown to help Malon out. Hyrule probably shouldn't be allowed near the cooking pot.

Twilight I believe is also relatively familiar with cooking. He lives in a village and looks after the children, and generally helps out where needed. He's surely been in a kitchen many times.

Wind is young, but a good assistant! Give him a few more years of practice and he'll probably get pretty good!

Warriors has some idea of what's edible and what's not in a pinch. That does not necessarily mean any of it tastes good, but to be fair, when you've been stuck in a fort under seige for a month with limited rations, anything goes.

Four knows some tasty nuts and berries type of things. Not so much a cook, but a good forager.

Sky tries. He really does. But frankly, the less he is involved with the actual food handling and cooking, the better, at least out and about like they are. He does better when in a civilized area and someone can help him one on one. But he will probably never be a cook.

Legend's idea of cooking is setting it on fire with a flame rod. It's unclear if he actually cannot cook or if he simply decides never to learn.

Warriors - Torchic for that blaze of glory and fighting on the battlefield

Four - Charmander because Charizard has so many dang different forms

Wind - Popplio, a travel companion when he takes to the seas!

Wild - Grookey. Monkey buddies

Legend - Snivy because they'll judge everyone together

Hyrule - Fennekin, floofy and later that Psychic type

Sky - Rowlet. Duh.
