One of the most common comments I hear from people who are new to LinkedIn is they don’t understand why people they don’t know are sending them invitations to connect. The next question I get is, “Should I accept these invitations?”

LinkedIn Tip: If you send out invitations, make sure they are crystal clear. Tell the person the benefits of attending, what’s in it for them, how to dress and what to expect. Also, share helpful insights, such as where to park and what the weather will be like. All those ingredients add up big time when a follower is making a decision about whether to attend or not your event.
