The DROP Spindle Collection from Airkewld The PRO's at Airkewld make it easy to drop your Vintage VW with the installation of a drop spindle. For the Standard Beetle and Karmann Ghia applications, these spindles will drop you a total of 2.50" from stock and push your wheels out 3/8" on each side. For link pin applications, (1949-1965 models) the FORGED Chromoly one piece spindles are NOT bolt on. They require a press to install. More times than not, the king pin bushings and link pin bushings are worn and need to be replaced when doing the switch out. This requires finesse with a reamer to dial in the thrust just right. The PRO's offer a Bolt-on solution, in either a paintable finish or expertly powder coated in satin black, with new German king pins/bushings and new German link pins/bushings dialed in for you.
