Unexpected Split-up

Linnaeus followed the group, sticking as close to Honey as he could. However, while she was distracted by Sangria for a whispered chat, a flash of red caught his attention from the corner of his eye. He turned his head swiftly to look, but saw nothing there. Still, a chill ran up his spine. “Reynard....”
Before anyone could notice, the ninja adjusts his mask over his nose and mouth and flips up his hood, rushing silently down a small corridor towards where he had seen the figure flash by.
He stops to look around, not seeing anyone close. Thankfully, the light was dim here and he had the element of surprised on his side. But then, there she was again! Tall, light-skinned, red hair? It had to be her. He clips the weapon off of his belt and holds it at the ready in his hand. Without a word, only a slight fwip of his shoe on the floor, he rushes her from behind and leaps at the last second to swipe his sickle-like weapon towards her back.

That was unexpected. Yellow eyes widened just slightly in surprise before flicking over to his sister who was standing a few feet away. Honey just shrugged and smiled and turned away from the interaction to give Linnaeus some privacy.
