@irlmun from Starter Call: Lapis
Lapis sat in the waiting room as patiently as he could. Thankfully he was used to staying in one place for long periods of time without growing too bored. It was yet another weapon fix he needed to get new parts to handle. It wasn’t that he couldn’t do the repairs himself, but he needed the parts to be created and that was going to take time. Thankfully the weapon shop had space available so all he had to do was wait a while for it to be finished. A normal person would have just gone about their errands and came back later. Lapis instead chose to sit in the waiting room seemingly all day. By the clock he could tell about four hours had passed and several people had come and gone, some asking him questions about why he was there for so long. It wasn’t much to do but it was something.

Finally, Rory had ditched them to find out more about the kingdom and tournament. That meant... no supervision! Verdant slipped away while Tally and Sorin were busy unpacking in their room and scoots past some students in the hall with barely a word before making their way outside.
The sunlight was harsh, but much more bearable than Vacuo. Still, they kept their hood up over their hat and readjusted the mask over their face. You could never be too careful. Verdant listened for the sound of water and found a fountain in the courtyard. However, they could see Rory turning a corner and so quickly hid themself behind the fountain, waiting for the team leader to leave so they could splash around! But just as they were about to dip their toes in, they heard a rustling and turned to blink wide green eyes at the stranger watching them. “....”

“So this is Atlas huh? Never thought I’d actually step foot here.” Her father being from Atlas and having a few connections left had made getting here fairly easy. Problem was she had a very limited time to try and locate the people she came here for. Right now she sort of wished she packed a thicker jacket.
Adjusting her eye patch and slinging her rifle over her back as she made her way through the crowd. For the most part it was about what she expected..her father had given her all the details he could. She’d only been here a few hours at max and she already started to grow tired of it. “For once in my life I miss Vacuo..” reaching into her pocket and making sure she had her huntress license on her..just in case.
After a short bit of walking she stopped and took a seat on a bench, pulling her scroll out and flipping through a few pictures. With the way Mantle and Atlas looked..this might be a needle in a haystack situation..once again she stressed to herself she was short on time if she wanted to get out of here. The transportation wouldn’t be around forever.
“Maybe coming here was a dumb idea...I don’t even know where to look or what to look for..” Taking another look around..
Shout out to @teamoliv for their brilliant OCs. They work incredibly hard to build an interesting world, have a wonderful story, and they deserve ALL the love!

Beacon was burning.
The forces of their Atlesian ‘allies’ had been attacking them until some monster of grimm had destroyed their airship. Terrorists attacked. And Lan’s home was was broken, and drifting up in ash.
He’d had killed. And killed and killed and killed. Grimm, members of the fang, and every single last Atlesian traitor he could get his hands on. But Lan was a product of Beacon, and they’d set him against small numbers of opponents inside arenas. His own personal fights had rarely been protracted, and he’d never been forced to fight for hour after hour.
His aura was empty, his body battered, his knife holsters empty, and his saber bloody.
“I swear!” He screamed hate at the shattered moon. “I swear, if I live to see the next day, then I will not live under the same sky as Ironwood! I will see that traitor dead! I will crucify him with his own bones, and leave his broken body to be devoured alive by beasts! I will give him such a miserable death the heavens will weep, and the grimm will look on and know that vengeance has ever been the domain of man!”
Lan snarled, exhausted but still whirling his sword at the ready as he walked through Vale’s streets. Only fury kept him on his feet. But it wouldn’t keep him there for long, he knew. He was too tired, too injured, to escape this hell.
The thought of seemingly inevitable death bothered the faunus far less than the fact that those responsible for this might escape retribution.

“ 𝕬h.......Don’t mind me! I’m just...doin’ my thing...Y’know.....doing a Stake-out. ”

Jaune walked down the hall, just finished with upkeep. Both on himself on on his gear. With the the way things were going, Jaune had a feeling he’d need to make sure he was ready for action at any time.
He saw a flash of blonde hair out of the corner is his eye, and tracked the motion reflexively. He felt like a bolt of lightning hit him. He knew that pony tail, and the girl who wore it. He hadn’t seen her since the fall, and he hadn’t even known if she survived. They’d been dating at the time, and he’d missed her fiercely in their separation.
There’d just been so much going on, and the whole world seemed to be at stake. He found out that it hadn’t just been his imagination later. But it had been devastating not to look for her, even knowing he couldn’t abandon his duties to do so.
“Violet? I-is it really you?” He called out to her, stepping in her direction, hope and trepidation warring inside of him.
