Everyone knows that it doesn’t take much for me to go down Hunger Games nostalgia lane! Last night, YouTube recommended a full character analysis for Haymitch, and I just went to town. (that’s my other weakness: book/film analysis videos, love those!) But back to the point, HG kicked off what has now become a 5 year knitting journey and all because of the infamous Katniss Cowl. Now it seems I’ll be coming full circle and completing another one. Last night, after perusing Etsy, I found a new gorgeous interpretation of the cowl by Dahlia In Bloom (I believe she has two other variants of the cowl in her Etsy Shop), that was simply too delicious looking to resist! Fandom love aside, I think what keeps drawing makers to this cowl are the beautiful textures that herringbone creates, and that rustic patchwork quality that’s just glorious between your fingers as it works up. So, to follow up on my post yesterday, my sweater’s not on hold, but darn it these new patterns just show up out of nowhere. And who knew I’d find this in the 10th Anniversary year for HG?! I smell serendipity in the works. #instaknit #knitstagram #thehungergames #mockingjay #lionbrandthickandquick #bookstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo7ZCRxl8Uq/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1l9jxeqx8rl50
