“I smell like strawberries, definitely strawberries. I couldn’t help myself. Forgive this sinner.” stated the ebony-haired before engulfing her in a gigantic hug.

As childish as it was, Jules giggled and nuzzled into her...friend? Sure, that was probably the best thing to call Michael, she thought, taking in the familiar scent of her own shampoo.

“Nothing that needs to be forgiven.” She reassured. “Just good to have you back.”

She couldn’t decide if it was Michael himself that she’d missed, or his support. After all, he’d always been the one who pushed her to make her relationship with Jackson work out. So, although she hated to admit it even to herself, it probably had to do with her missing Jack as well, and that strange sense of that old life that Michael reminded her of.

Caitlyn stared down at her phone as if it were a bomb about to blow. Shock was definitely one of the dominant emotions at the moment, followed by a cocktail of far less pleasant things. She desperately wanted to be happy that suddenly another name was popping back into her life, but the thought of what he might or might not know scared the everloving hell out of her.
