Hakuna Drawtata: Day 9 Hakuna Matata

Finally up to date with the list.

A classic, I actually have a sing-a-long Disney karaoke VCR tape that has this and IJCWTBK on it. Sure it might have been overplayed, but I won't deny how much this song means to me. Figured I'd base the picture off the most memorable part of the song for me.

Hakuna Drawtata Day 2: Nap

Nothing beats an afternoon nap, especially when you live in a place with optimal humidity, temperatures, background nature sounds and your best bud.

So that's two done in one day, and after work no less. After I catch up, I'll try to be consistent on posting daily throughout the month, although I do got some things planned.

Hakuna Drawtata: Day 24 Hula-Hula

Thought it be funny if they reused this gag for other things, like stalling for time at concerts and performances. Pretty entertaining, but I headcanon it always comedically with something chasing them off stage, from overly excitable lion cubs to boulders to hyraxes.

Hakuna Drawtata: Day 22 Firsts

So both meerkats and warthogs are omnivores and oppourtunistic feeders, meaning while they probably wouldn't eat meat as much like Simba does, they probably would be okay with the occasional hunted animal. I don't believe Simba was full-on carnivore during his time in the Oasis, but definitely had to be discrete as to not scare his prey neighbors.

As for this, I imagine he had to go through a trial period to figure about which insects and bugs were good and which ones to avoid with a six-foot pole. My headcanon is that Simba has a large nuanced knowledge of poisonous/dangerous insects, arachnids, and arthropods due to his time here, including which ones are edible and which ones taste really good.

Hakuna Drawtata: Day 18 Parenthood

I have not yet had the blessing/burden of experiencing this yet, but from what I understand, parenthood, at least at first, involves a lot of sleepless nights. Apparently honey badgers, while adaptable to being awake during daylight hours, are primarily nocturnal and crepuscular animals.

At least Simba was already a child who could communicate his wants and needs, compared to Bunga who was just a toddler when he was separated from his family. Still Timon loves his second kid just as much.

Hakuna Drawtata: Day 17 Butterflies

A sort of remake of this picture, but I wanted to use the original concept and vibe of having a moment in Kiara's childhood where she really enjoyed having babysitters and had fun with them, even though their reasons for chasing the butterflies are different.

Hakuna Drawtata: Day 15 Waterfalls

Perfect place to spend with your best boar buddy and most magnificent meerkat mate. Just ignore the fact that they tried to spoil their other friend's date with his childhood best friend here.

Makes you wonder how they get along with Nala nowadays.
