It was a rare day when you and Lip didn't share a bed together, you'd spend most of your nights at Lip's purely so you could sleep in the same bed as him. It gave you comfort sleeping with him, feeling his body against yours, his light breathing against your neck, it just gave you a sense of calm - you got your best nights of sleep with him.

Your parents had invited Lip to come on holiday with your family this year, after finding out the two of you were together. However, they gave you both separate rooms, not wanting you to get up to anything.

Unknown to your parents, you'd given Lip your spare room key so he was able to come into your room whenever he wanted to, which was exactly what he was doing now.

It was approaching midnight, Lip had been tossing ang turning in his best the past hour, constantly debating whether or not to go into your room. He sighed heavily, "fuck it." he muttered under his breath, standing up from the bed, quickly pulling on some sweatpants, grabbing your key card and his, and quietly leaving his room, making sure to close his door quietly so he didn't disturb your parents sleeping next door.

Lip placed the key card in your door, quietly opening it and letting himself in. The moonlight streaming through the curtains illuminated you, allowing Lip to see you sleeping peacefully. He smiled to himself as he placed the keycard down, slightly pulling the covers off you before sliding into bed next to you.

The weight of Lips arm around your waist woke you up, causing you to turn to face him, letting out a chuckle as you realised it was just Lip.

"You scared me." you laughed, hitching your leg over Lip's, burying your body closer to his, Lips arm tightening around your waist, placing a gentle kiss to the top of your head.

"I'm sorry, love." he chuckled "I just wanted to be with you." he whispered, placing another kiss on your head "go back to sleep, love."

"I love you" you whispered, closing your eyes again, falling asleep to Lips heartbeat

"I love you too." Lip would never admit this to you, but he couldn't sleep without you anymore, you kept the bad thoughts away, you made him feel loved, Lip knew he would cherish you for the rest of his life, you were it for him, and he would never let you go.

“I’m pregnant.” You said quietly. You and your long-term boyfriend Lip were sitting in your room. You were both seniors in high school and frankly both probably not ready for a baby.

“Do you know how far?” He asked; all Lip could do was stare at your stomach. His mind was racing with thousands of thoughts; this was the number one rule: don’t get a girl pregnant. But you weren’t just a girl. Lip loved you. He had never been in a relationship this long before. You were going on a year.

“I don’t know. I haven’t been to the doctor yet.” You looked at the floor and a tear slipped from your eye.

Lip’s hand wiped the tear from your cheek and titled your chin up, “Let’s have this baby.”

3 months later

You were now six months now and heavily showing. This Gallagher baby was a big one; you had told both your families and they had been surprisingly okay with it.

You guys didn’t have a plan yet, but there was some time left. The baby was due in June. You were going to stay in school and graduate and Lip was your biggest motivator.

You and Lip were in your room while Lip was studying for his test; he was obviously frustrated so you walked behind him and put your arms around him. “What’s going on? Why are you angry?”

He sighed and turned to face you, “How am I going to be a dad if I’m in college and working to support you and the baby? I’m never going to have the time. I don’t want to neglect them and be like Frank.”

“Lip, stop right there. You do not get to compare yourself to Frank. Ever. End of story. You will be a great dad.” You smiled at him and put your arms around your bump.

He put his hands on top of yours and said, “We’re gonna make this work. It just still doesn’t feel real. I can’t believe you’re carrying my child.”

You giggled at him, “Well your child is making me look like a fat cow.”

This caused Lip to crack a smile, “No, you look cute with a baby bump.” You kissed him.

“I love you Philip Gallagher and I can’t wait to have our baby.”

3 Months Later

It was graduation day and you were getting ready; you were full term and the baby was due in 2 weeks.

But this was a Gallagher baby and Gallagher babies came whenever they wanted. You sat at the dining room table with Fiona when a sharp pain hit you. They had been coming all day, but you had brushed it off and thought nothing of it.

You gasped when it hit you again. “Are you okay?” Fiona asked.

You nodded and stood up which made you almost fall into the table; your water broke all over the floor and you swore. “Fuck. The baby.”

“Lip!” Fiona yelled and hurried over to you, “Carl call 911. She’s having this kid fast. How long have these pains been happening?”

“All day.” You moaned out, “I just didn’t think anything of it.” 

Lip ran down the stairs and saw you, “Fuck.” Tears welled up in your eyes and you yelled out in pain as another contraction hit you.

“The ambulance will be here in 2 minutes,” Carl said. You leaned into Fiona for support and Lip was immediately on the other side.

“Hey, it’s gonna be okay baby. We’re gonna get to see the little one today and have a good story to tell.” Lip kissed your forehead, “Let’s go outside to wait.”

The pain was agonizing and strong; the three of you made it out of the house for the ambulance to be pulling up. Lip and Fiona climbed in with you. Lip stayed by your side smoothing your hair back.

Ronan Gallagher was born five minutes after you made it to the ambulance. You had delivered him with no pain medicine, but he was beautiful. The paramedics rushed you and the baby to a room to take vitals and make sure everything was okay, but you felt the happiest you had been.

When everything was done you were in a hospital bed with Lip by your side. Fiona had gone back to the house to make sure everything was alright. A nurse brought Ronan in and smiled, “Here’s your healthy baby boy.” She smiled.

You took Ronan into your arms and tears streamed down your cheek, “He’s perfect.”

Lip kissed you; he had tears in his eyes too. “We’re gonna be such a happy family.”
