The 5-on-5 player setup of Killer Queen, along with the brevity of each match, means that each player can essentially pursue their own general objective, which the game intelligently provides for with its multiple win conditions. If either team fills out the fruit on their hive, kills the enemy Queen, or rides the purple snail from one side of the screen to the other, they can win regardless of how far along the other team is. This allows each match to be a continuous bait and switch, as each side changes what it’s focus is in the moment and constantly threatens the other team with different offenses.
