do you guys understand that i would sell my soul for a lisa loopner sitcom??? it would have been so great just imagine it:

• lisa and todd going to school, dealing with friends/cliques/bullies, lisa trying out for cheerleading and todd trying out for the football team and lisa having a crush on a teacher which drives todd crazy with jealousy.

• getting a backstory on lisa’s piano teacher, who may or may not resemble her musical idol marvin hamlisch, more recitals filled with emotions and mediocre piano music (and more importantly more gilda singing!).

• todd and lisa going on clumsy, nerdy dates together to the science museum and to see bad movies, or lisa going on dates with other boys from school and todd invariably trying to sabotage them.

• lisa’s first sleepover with the rest of the girls from the math club, gossiping over the cute guys from the other school’s debate team and their dream colleges, and mrs. loopner trying to give them ‘the birds and the bees’ talk and a midnight snack of egg salad.

• todd getting his first job at a pizzeria and lisa making jokes about “pizza face working at the pizza place”.

• maybe even mrs. loopner going on some dates of her own, and todd and lisa following them to the restaurant to make sure the guy treats her well…

the possibilities are endless!
