lisatronic3000 requested: "Shamy skyping while in their respective beds. Nothing sexual, merely Sheldon misunderstanding the concept of "pillow talk". Amy, of course, clarifies. How he responses is up to you dear fluff queen. Please and thanks!"
Thanks for the prompt. I'll be real, this might be one of my favorite endings for one of these ever. Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Amy had requested that Sheldon call her via Skype before bed. There wasn't any special occasion or anything, but Amy wanted to see Sheldon dressed in his jammies and ready for bed. He was just so cute that way, and she didn't get to see it often enough. Plus, if she had her laptop in bed with her too, it was a little bit like they were in bed together.
Sheldon wasn't interested in it for the same reason that Amy was, but he always liked talking to Amy. He didn't mind seeing her in pajamas or in bed, even if he didn't particularly want to join her there quite yet. Plus, the novelty of such a venture made it an interesting idea. Sheldon was willing to add a little spice to their relationship.
The call went through, and Sheldon was happy to see Amy's face on the screen. “Hello. I have called you as you requested,” Sheldon said.
“Hello, Sheldon. How has your night been going?”
“Not well. Leonard and Penny have been alternating between her apartment and mine. As soon as I get used to being alone, they come back, and as soon as I get used to being around others, they leave again,” Sheldon said.
“Well, you could always just tell them to leave. Then you would just be alone all of the time, and I could come visit you if you get lonely. Maybe I could even spend the night on the couch or in the other bedroom or maybe even your bed,” Amy suggested.
“I don't like that idea at all,” Sheldon said.
“It was worth a shot,” Amy said with a shrug. “What color are your pajamas?” Amy could only really see his face.
“One moment,” Sheldon said. Then he set down his computer, got out of bed and angled the camera so that she could see all of him. When he got back in bed he added, “Your turn.”
Amy got out of bed and showed him her floor length, flannel nightgown.
“In the summer, do you turn up your air conditioning or do you wear lighter sleeping gear?”
“Neither. I'm always cold. I switch out the blankets on my bed to some that are a little lighter, but I'm pretty comfortable in the summer,” Amy said.
They just talked about anything and everything for a while until Amy yawned. She didn't realize it was so late. It was far past Sheldon's usual bedtime.
“I should let you go,” Amy said. “You should have been asleep almost an hour ago.”
“Oh. You are right. I have enjoyed this 'pillow talk.' We should do it more often,” Sheldon said.
Amy giggled and blushed a little.
“What?” Sheldon asked.
“Pillow talk is traditionally the time a couple would speak in an intimate manner following coitus,” Amy said.
It was Sheldon's turn to blush a little at this. “What do they usually talk about?” Sheldon asked. He was curious. Amy was always willing to explain things involving sex and relationships without mocking him.
“You know. Anything. Maybe share secrets or just talk about life. The chemicals released in the brain during and after sex lead to further bonding and intimacy,” Amy explained.
“Oh. That doesn't sound too bad. Maybe we should try that some time,” Sheldon said.
“Did you miss the part where I said it came after sex? Plus it often involves cuddling,” Amy explained.
“I didn't say today. I just meant that it sounds nice. Perhaps we should add that to the schedule for after we have sex,” Sheldon said.
“We don't have the sex scheduled,” Amy said.
“You don't. I do. Goodnight, Amy,” Sheldon said before closing his computer.
Shamy ficlet request: Sheldon thinking he has texted Raj/Leonard or whoever for advice about Amy only to discover he accidentally texted Amy. Please and thanks!
Hi! I'm a little honored that you requested anything. You are pretty darn good at the whole writing thing, so I hope that you like this.
Sheldon was contemplating his relationship with Amy. He could tell that his feelings for her were getting stronger. That was a problem, but not as big as the problem that he was experiencing more of his baser urges when they were together. He wanted to kiss her longer, and sometimes he even wanted to touch her body. Sometimes he wanted to touch her or have her touch him with little to no clothes on. It was haunting him and causing him to have terrible dreams about it.
He had tried a lot of things on his own, but nothing was working. No woman had ever affected him this way before. He was fine until that little vixen came along. Sheldon decided it was time to try to get some outside help. It was Leonard's job to help him with things like this. Sheldon pulled out his phone and decided to text him about it.
I am experiencing a problem regarding Amy. I can't stop thinking about kissing and touching her. I even thought about her in the shower the other day. Any ideas on how to make it stop? - S
Sheldon pressed send and waited for a text back. Leonard was usually very good about getting back to him, but after about ten minutes, Sheldon looked at his phone. He saw his text message out, and no response. Then he realized that the name at the top of the screen was not Leonard. It said Amy.
“No. No. No. No,” Sheldon repeated. He jumped from the couch and ran out the door. In his haste, he didn't even grab his jacket or bag. He just ran down the stairs and to the bus stop.
“Come on,” he said as he waited for the bus. It wasn't coming fast enough so he just took off running in the direction of Amy's apartment. Unfortunately, Sheldon wasn't used to running, so he ran out of steam pretty quickly. That sent him back to waiting for the bus.
There was still no text from Amy. Sheldon prayed that she had not read it. That he could get to her before she did and delete it.
The bus finally came and Sheldon jumped on. He was impatient at each stop.
“Go. Just go,” he finally yelled at the bus driver.
“Sir, if you yell at me one more time, I'll ask you to get off this bus,” the driver said.
“I wouldn't have to yell if you just drove,” Sheldon yelled back.
“Okay, sir. You need to get off this bus right now or I'm calling the police,” the driver said.
“I don't have time for this,” Sheldon said as he got off the bus. At least he was only a couple blocks from Amy's apartment. He decided just to go the rest of the way on foot.
Sheldon was in a complete and utter panic as he got closer to Amy's apartment. He tried to figure out what to say if she had seen it, and what to say to her if she hadn't. He knew he should have been more careful about sending that message. Some might say there was no such thing as a mistake, and that he subconsciously wanted Amy to know that he wanted her.
He didn't have time to contemplate that. Instead, he just kept moving toward her apartment. He stepped into the elevator when his phone pinged. He almost couldn't stand to look at it. It was from Amy, and Sheldon's fingers shook as he opened it.
I believe this message was meant for someone else, but if you would like to talk about this, I'll listen. However, if you don't want to talk about it to me, I also understand. - A
The doors of the elevator opened and Sheldon stepped out. He just kept staring at his phone. She'd gotten the message. He couldn't stop her from reading about it. He had almost made it. He was just down the hall from her door.
Sheldon turned back to the elevator and pressed the down button. Clearly the only option he had was to go home, pack his bags, and move out of state. As he was waiting for the elevator, he heard someone call his name.
“Sheldon?” Amy asked.
“I am not Sheldon. I am... Einstein Von Brainstorm,” Sheldon said quickly without looking up.
“You've used that fake name with me before. Come on. I'll make you a cup of tea. I can only assume that you are here about the text message. We don't have to talk about it as long as I'm the Amy that you meant,” Amy told him.
“Of course you're the Amy I meant,” Sheldon said.
“Okay. Then come on in. Camomile?” Amy asked.
Sheldon slumped his shoulders and followed Amy into her apartment. He sat down and wouldn't meet Amy's eyes even after she put the cup of hot tea into his hands.
“It's okay,” Amy said. She was smiling. Not because of Sheldon's pain. That part she would love to take away from him, but she couldn't help but feel a little pleased that Sheldon thought about her that way.
“I don't want to talk about it,” Sheldon said after a while.
“That's okay,” Amy said. She was trying to be understanding. Sheldon wasn't just struggling with his feelings for her, but also his embarrassment. Still, she wished he would talk to her about it. Or not talk, but put what he said into action.
“I'll put on Shaun of the Dead in a second and we can watch the movie for a while. Okay? I just want to say that it's okay to feel the way that you feel. You don't have to stop those feelings, and if you ever want to act on them, it's okay. As long as we are both comfortable, we can share those kinds of things,” Amy said. Then she opened the DVD case and put in the movie. She didn't expect Sheldon to say anything back, and she was done talking to him about it.
Sheldon still wouldn't look up for the first fifteen minutes of the movie. Then he started getting into it as the zombies showed up. Then by the time the movie ended, Sheldon was relaxed. Amy had to remind herself not to push Sheldon too hard when she said goodbye. He would come to her in his own time.
“Are you sure you don't want me to drive you home?” Amy asked.
“I took the bus most of the way here. I can take it home,” Sheldon said.
“Okay. Have a good night,” Amy said with a smile.
Sheldon nodded and started walking to the door. Then he double backed to Amy. He grabbed her by the hips and placed a kiss on her lips.
“That didn't mean anything,” Sheldon said before he left, but thanks to his mistake, Amy knew that it did. It meant that he liked kissing her, and maybe one day, they would do more.
