There was euphoria after the match! I took Ivano to the pitch, even though he was tired and sleepy - he was only four then. But I woke him up for a photo with the trophy because I wanted to capture this moment with him - one day he would understand the importance of this evening.

When we were at the hotel in Lisbon, Vanja called and announced : "I've organized everything for our team, but there is one problem. I have a fever and everything hurts me. The doctor says I shouldn't travel". I couldn't imagine it! We are here on the threshold of making our dreams come true, only one step away from success, and the most important person in my life cannot accompany me?! I said : "Vanja, I don't know how ... but you have to be here"! So my wife swallowed a pile of aspirin and drank a sea of lemon tea. She called the next day, on the day of the final : "Luka, we are ALL in Lisbon". What a relief! Why do I need all these victories and trophies if I cannot share the joy of them with those I love the most?

The first Champions League in Lisbon was the greatest moment of his career. The most beautiful memory. He called me before the nap to tell me he was going to play in the final and I was so stressed.
