Phillies fans excitedly welcomed Hunter Pence to their team a little over four months ago. The 28-year-old baseball star has since received a great deal of attention from the public eye. Men want to watch him play ball; women want to watch him....well, do anything. And while Internet stardom may not count for much, it’s noteworthy that Hunter Pence has been leaving trails of rainbows across the web as “Nyan Pence.”
Two of Pence's biggest fans are collectively known as Platt Bridge, a rock/country duo from the Philadelphia area. Inspired by Pence’s celebratory suggestion, Mario Gallo and Bill Miller wrote and recorded a song entitled “Let’s Go Eat.” It’s featured on Platt Bridge’s latest CD, Youtube, and is rumored to get some airtime on a few Philly radio stations.
Hungry and inspirational, Hunter Pence was the obvious choice to be Liscio’s new spokesman. Pence and the bakery are sure to be a duo of delicious proportions.
Have a listen to “Let’s Go Eat” above, but be warned – it has been known to induce spontaneous dance.
Platt Bridge is not directly affiliated with Liscio's Bakery or Hunter Pence.
