The Book Barn: The Haunted
The Book Barn is a book shop established in 1988 in the census-designated place (CDP) of Niantic, Connecticut.
According to their website:
Our original location, The Main Barn, was established in 1988 as only three bookcases and a couch in the basement of the old three-story barn. The Main Barn compound has five buildings in addition to the eponymous barn: Ellis Island, the Annex, Hades, the Haunted, and the Last Page.
The Haunted “started out as Mrs. Book Barn’s Halloween Party Spot...” but:
One bright spring day, Mr. Book Barn approached the beautiful Mrs. Book Barn and said; “ My beautiful wife, would it be okay if I were to store some boxes of books in your Halloween Barn, just until more shelves can be built?” The charming and yes, we dare say again, beautiful Mrs. Book Barn looked lovingly at her husband and said; “Of course my tired and overworked husband, you may store your boxes there!”
