Inspired by Books & Jazz #LITFEST2019
At the Lit Fest 2019, book lovers came to immerse themselves into the world of literature and music. The host said this event was where books and music married.
I came into this celebration for the first time and I felt very impressed by how they organised it. We did not only get to flip over books and buy them, but also it motivated us to go deeper into creating something new. I enjoyed participating in contributing to a collaborative story – just wrote in 2 sentences and boom the story continued by other writers connecting ideas together to the end of the day.
There was a tea corner where readers had a chat with their favorite writers. Another great idea was that they made a space for you to tell your life story to writers, and they would type up poems for you to bring home.
The jazz music in the garden was uplifting – I spent most of my time there at the garden, enjoying the songs, drinking Taiwanese pearl milk tea and eating sausages. I came a bit late so I did not watch a movie but I think it should be fun too.
The fact that this event was so far from my home made it even more special. I visited Museum Siam for a little bit before walking around and book a grab to go home.
Sometimes they are so many things happening in life that I forget the little joy I can create for myself. We should cherish in whatever we do, and be happy that we can be part of a community.
