You've done it! You've made a convert of me. Ages - eons - ago, I started thinking "you know, I ought to give Leverage a shot, it seems like it might be my kind of show," because your posts about it were so heartfelt and bright.

I never followed through, for any number of reasons.

But you came back to tumblr and Leverage was once more on my dash and I made the leap to try it and -

Oh my gosh this pleases me so much! I'm so happy you're liking it. It's my all-time favorite show, and I love every single character to bits.

@lithanine and i got together to write poetry and she had the idea that we should give each other absurd titles to write poems after. so the absolute masterpiece of a title this poem has is all her. she also said that the poem had to be an acrostic, so naturally i made the lines spell “seafood.”

I’ve seen footage by death grips is an obvious choice, but i know you, so instead I’m gonna say anna sun by walk the moon. there were a few contenders but I want to party with the most consistency when I hear that song.

H: a song that reminds me of my childhood

roundabout by yes. my childhood was suffused with the prog rock my dad still listens to.

L: an instrumental song

one of these days by pink floyd. speaking of prog rock!! i don’t know if this one is super strictly instrumental cause about half-way through there’s someone growling “one of these days I’m going to cut you into little pieces” but you know, details. it’s a great song.

P: a song that I’d recommend you based on your blog

queer by garbage. no explanation, just listen to it.

X: a cover

go to youtube and look up hozier covering the arctic monkeys’ do I wanna know. if I’ve already shared that magic with you then second place is iron & wine’s cover of such great heights by the postal service. they’re both good.

as for good ol’ Devil’s Milk, NJ… I’m gonna say the best ever death metal band in denton by the mountain goats is probably playing on loop out of a crackling boombox on the corner of the bar in the only saloon on the only road leading into and out of Devil’s Milk. hail satan.

Series characters ask: MCU and Futurama. <3

MCU: (Since there are a ton of characters in the entire MCU proper, I’m gonna stick to the Avengers movies.)

Character I’d want as a best friend: Steve. Look at how far he goes for his friends.

Character I’d want as a parent: Clint Barton. Hawkdad forever.

Character I’d want as a sibling: Thor. He’s so cuddly and protective.

Character I’d want as a significant other: This is the one that made me want to tear my hair out. But... Wanda? Idk, it’s a really tough call.

Character I’d want as a child: Peter Parker. He is smol and must be protected.

Character I’d want as a weird inlaw: Tony. He’d throw great parties but I don’t think I could handle actually being related to him.

Futurama:

Character I’d want as a best friend: Amy - she’s clearly the most fun.

Character I’d want as a parent: ...Hermes. He’s pretty much the sanest adult on the show.
