Baltics Reject Soviet Past | Eastern Express

In this episode of Eastern Express, we explore how Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia are pushing back against being labeled as "post-Soviet" states. P.S. Good! Very good story! One of the closest to the truth heard in any major media recently! Since Poland has had similar troubles to the Baltic states, their journalists understand much better than the stupid and arrogant Western media what is really happening in our region...

Most of the so-called Western journalists look at the e-mail received from the Kremlin's propaganda agencies, rewrite it and have an "opinion" ready about the Baltic region. Most of them have never been to the Baltics, know neither the local languages, nor the documented sources of history, nor the current situation...

It does not matter what political direction these media represent - we immediately recognize the lies and imperialist propaganda structures created by the Russians in the so-called "liberal" and "conservative" or "left" media of the West. It's just that "liberals" present Russian propaganda more elegantly dressed and therefore more difficult to detect... the infiltrated propaganda of "good Russians" is even more dangerous than outright lies or nonsense...

[most of these entries have already been written. Just catching up on the blog]

Barely legible writing moves sloppily down the page. Wet spots mixed with dark ink smudging and making of the once pristine parchment paper. Small tears from the heavy pressure of Lithiania's hand make reading this particular entry slightly more difficult. Damn that Zaduel! Damn him into the pits of the Nether! If it hadn't been for him I would have never had to go to that damn Winter Solstice ball! I mean, one fuck dresses! They're the most uncomfortable pieces of shit cloth I've ever had to wear. Yet, he somehow thought it was a good idea for me to go. Ugh!

I mean yeah, yeah, yeah represent the Blood Knights, show them that we're not a bunch of ass wipes. I get that. But me? ME?! I stand out in a room of pristine elves, with their slender hips and graceful movements. While you have me here in the corner of the room sticking out like a nail ready to be hammer d- Writing stops mid sentence, a scramble of words and harsh scribbles take up half the page. Flip. Fresh parchment, and fresh ink. I didn't think it was going to be that bad when I spotted Vylris there. Despite his lack of tongue he is tolerable. Someone to talk to while I'm in a room full of socialites. Honestly, you'd think my ass would be better at this shit by now, but, nope. It's not... probably why Zaduel wants me to go to these things... Anyways! Vlyris was not the only one from the Line that was there, it seemed. Again, I thought oh hey this won't be too bad then but it seemed Vlyris and I have become the butt of some cruel, joke. Boyfriend, really?! I can't think of anyone WORSE to be interested in. I mean, he's not bad looking but that's NOT the point. The worst part about it is? He didn't even attempt to stop. No, it's like someone chopped off his damn tongue. There's not enough dwarven whiskey in the world to drown in right now. Damn Zaduel. This is his fault... should've never let me go.

The corner of her bed inside of the barracks, blankets were askew, pack of cigarettes with one poking out and located on the floor a almost empty bottle of whisky. Fresh ink decorates the page.

I got asked a curious question tonight. It's been on my mind since, and it made a very costly sentence to slip from my stupid, big mouth! I just... Why do I want to get to know someone? It's one thing if they are an open book, and spill their life story to me. It's another when they're more damn silent than the rats of murder row! (And I'm not talking about the Sin'dorei that hang out there either.) Is it because I am lonely? Is that even a question to ask myself? I cut off, severed my previous connections because things were getting too close.

Why do I want to get to know someone? It's one thing if they are an open book, and spill their life story to me. It's another when they're more damn silent than the rats of murder row! (And I'm not talking about the Sin'dorei that hang out there either.) Is it because I am lonely? Is that even a question to ask myself? I cut off, severed my previous connections because things were getting too close. Yet, here I am, beating my skull against Leysong to get this asshole to talk. There can be no other reason as to why I would do such. I have no one to talk to, and.. whatever these emotions are, make me seek social interaction outside of the battlefield. For the longest time, I can sit and recall all the times I've felt like 'this' and it only occurred AFTER doing what I did. that unconsciousness brought me back to my true home. Not knowing anything other than what I had known at the time, I guess I could say I was looking for a reason to get caught. There wasn't much left going for me... Ashes smudged and burnt small holes into the thin, delicate parchment paper. It mixed with black ink, making many words of one paragraph completely unlegible. Damn. What have I gotten myself into? I should have left the deal at me asking HIM the questions. Not trying to make shit fair. Bah! whatever, I've made my mistake, I'll just hope he sticks with questions like that. Or other mundane questions. Damn.
