Lit Review Reflection

This assignment sucked so much. The size of it didn’t bother me until the laptop I was working on it with stopped working and I couldn’t recover what I had worked on the day the second draft was due. I had to start over with hardly anything I had other than most of my sources. I had to be quick to put something together and even skipped going to the conference to try and do so. I felt good about my final because the girl who helped me at the writing center said she liked it but I ended up getting a not so good grade on it. I don’t want to complain about that because in life sometimes things like that happen. The assignment also felt like a big summary which in a way it was and that felt kind of dry to me. The sources I used were also mostly academic engineering papers which are super dry and long. To be honest I wanted to use some of the equations presented in those papers but I didn’t even understand what they meant but I knew what they were proving. Most of the things I read in order to complete the assignment were also fairly long making the assignment suck even more. As much as I didn’t like this assignment I think this is fairly close to what I will be doing as an engineer. I would like to thank caffeine, nicotine, and the mystery chemicals in red bull and monster because without them this assignment would have never been completed.

Literature Review Reflection

LR Reflection

In this assignment, it was not easy to write more than 5 page essay, since it required a lot of learning and understand the purpose of how the topic. My topic was the law enforcement corruption wich reflected in all officials of the department of justice, the same as everyone else from the government. Doing the abstract was one of the most hardest thing to do since I have to drag all the information into one paragraph without copying and paste it with the same information, otherwise it would not have a more understandable of what I am trying to say. Also I found a little difficult to put all information together staying with the same topic. Also it always happens to me that I repeat to much the same information I already had. The grammar, punctuation and the time grammar, has always been the hardest thing to deal with. In this research, There is a lot of definitions to use as bribery, torture, police misconduct, and so on that deals with the same issue. I feel that this assigmente can be helpful to overbraod the different characteristics that we opose as individuals. Also this assignment,  can help everybody to have a clear understanding of how corruption tends to be.

Lit Review Reflection

My topic was about how much the media can influence a youth’s way of thought. In my Lit Review I talked about different ways the media can influence a teenagers mind. I was somewhat aware of the topic but I did learn about specific statistics that have been brought up to the public about how teenagers do suffer from violence and depression. I did learn that the main reason why teenagers fall into this issue is because they are too worried about what others will think about them because that show or song is what everyone is in too. Teenagers mostly like what they like because that is what everyone likes and they will feel weird or out of place if they do not like the same things others like. My primary research was easy, I chose to do a survey about my topic. Only thing that could be difficult was that not to many took the survey as much as I thought. I now feel confident because I now know how to conduct a Lit Review and everything that it comes with. I would say I did a good job in was actually finding different sources to help me talk more in depth about my topic. Because finding      more information about my topic made it easier to elaborate in it. One thing that was difficult was the fact that I could not get the Abstract down. I did not know exactly how to word it in order to make the ending point sound legit. The value of this assignment was that I now know how to do this assignment in the future without having so many questions at the beginning. I did not like it so much because it was so long but I can see why I needed to learn the material.
