black and white cat hitch hiking on the road
looking tired, lost yesterday shriving , in the evening cold
nose to the city street, quite thirsty, exhaust from vehicles he dodging to greet
sure they pass him by, he’s but wild and a farrow cat, just any other stray
staring out my window, I would just love to take him from the gripping sinister
hands of mother nature, because to deeply I care
the other two just wouldn’t understand; he or she would panic. curse that cat
he’s invading our territory r land
