"wow, you really don't like being challenged, do you?" tyler can't fight the grin that tugs at his mouth, arms folding over his chest. perhaps the best thing for tyler to do would be to stop challenging them but that just isn't in his blood. especially not when he derives such pleasure from being a little shit most days.

his  face  is  completely  pale  when  the  dressing  room  flows  empty  after  the  game.  dante  finally  makes  it  over  from  the  crowd  and  mason  looks  at  him  with  a  blank  stare,  saying  nothing  for  a  little  while.  not  only  did  their  team  just  lose  —  this  might  have  been  mason's  worst  play  ever,  and  the  aftermath  had  carved  a  painful  wound  that  his  boyfriend  couldn't  see  yet.  "i  don't  wanna  talk  about  it."  he  finally  speaks,  yet  his  face  says  it  all.  mason  stands  up  —  drops  his  stick  through  the  motion  of  the  wiggly  bench  and  kicks  it  away  with  his  foot  with  way  more  force  than  necessary.  "fuck  this  shit.  i'm  done."

" words are drawn out, chuckle following. high. he'd gotten high, and then all of his actual plans had gone out of his head, resulting in some poorly made attempt at something edible. the weight of a heavy night rests on his shoulders, visibly drained, detached as he makes the walk back home from the trailer where he grew up. dropped some things off to his dad only to find him obliterated drunk, barley able to stand yet still able to slew hate to the son who was trying to help him. it's only when he rounds the corner and sees lucian's car parked outside of his house that he remembers they'd made plans. shit. pulls his phone out for the first time in hours to see the missed calls, the texts. feels his gut turn at the thought of the other being worried. knocks on the car window and the rambling starts instantly, still visibly worked up, on edge. not himself. "i am so fucking sorry. i didn't forget, i swear, i — something came up and i couldn't leave. i'm sorry."

he's gasping for air as he wakes from his slumber, sweating, skin burning. flora can fill different types of magic coursing through his blood, it's almost as if they're fighting before they're joining as one. emotions are running high and everything feels like it's in slow motion, but also fast at the same time. he mostly feels fear, though, and his mind is only on one thing, "lucian!" he calls out, mostly in terror. "lucian! what's happening?" @littlcfreaks
