Wilbur had woken from his dreams in horror. He’d had to check himself, feel over his leg and over the wound that didn’t exist. It was...well it made him feel...it was a horribly real dream. It felt too real. Wilbur felt like...there were a lot of things he liked about his dream self, even things had gone so horribly.
It was strange, feeling as if he had not only lost a friend in a dream, but lost two people that understood him in that dream more than it felt like anyone did in reality. Maybe it was stupid, but Wilbur wanted to go out and see if it could translate.
It probably wouldn’t. Dreams weren’t reality, but Wilbur could at least...well. See if they were okay. He’d start with Barrel, if only because the memory of the guy shooting himself was...horrific. He had no idea where he could find him. He started with the comic book place, then a few other shops in town, and then finally as he was rushing through the park..there he was.
“Hey! Barrel!” He called out, and then had to pause because...well they weren’t actually friends. “Uhh....good to see that you’re uh...good.”
