Why do Americans call university ‘college’? In the UK college is somewhere you go before university, just curious as to how the system in the US is different cos I’d love to visit someday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ?

Gonna start posting on here more now, sorry about the hiatus! My last two AS-Level exams are on Tuesday then I’ve finished sixth form for good (as I’m not going back to do my A2). Obviously I’m not fussed how I do in exams because AS levels on their own are pretty much worthless, and I’ve already decided I want to do the NCTJ journalism course this September whilst doing an English degree alongside with the Open University. I can’t wait to leave sixth form because it made me so so depressed and I only have 3 days left so yay! This summer I’m going to focus on finishing my online forensic psychology diploma, working, and start volunteering at the secondhand bookshop again. And for fun I have Wireless festival, London pride, Disneyland, a trip abroad with my friends, and lots of drunken nights to look forward to!
