I love Little Henri, the reason being is that it’s situated in the are that I grew up in. However back then Thornbury was not as trendy or have delicious breakfast places like this. The building where Little Henri is situated used to be a Commenwealth Bank. When this closed down many years later and I had moved away from the Thornbury. I came back to find Little Henri in the place of a bank. The owners have embraced the beautiful building and it’s airy, lofty and cosy atmosphere. 

The staff are always accommodating and on this occasion I went in to eat my breakfast it was nothing different. Greeted with a smile. The waitress told me I could sit wherever I wanted and then asked if I’d like to start with a coffee. Yes, yes I would. I ordered my cappuccino with honey, which they served the honey on the side so I could add how much I wanted. After looking at the menu I decided I wanted one of their classic dishes the McHenri: Brioche bun, bacon, egg, emmental & kasandi. This is so delicious, the eggs are fluffy and soft, the bacon is crispy, the cheese coats and combines all the ingredients. The kasandi makes the flavour so interesting. There is no faulting this dish. I usually order two dishes however on this occasion I went on my own so could only fit in one dish.

The restaurant is quite beautiful. The outside patio is painted white and looks like it belongs in Santorini. The inside area is a combination of retro with a modern twist. The restaurant always has fresh flowers which is such a beautiful element.

I am a regular at Little Henri and eat here quite often. Or just stop in for a coffee and a danish. I would highly recommend this place.
