A 6 year old Isaac ran across the playground, his little brother Valentine, just 4 years old, toddled after him with a gleeful giggle. "Icicc, wai!" he called out, trying to catch up with his favorite brother. 

With a laugh, Isaac turned around and picked his little brother up, giving him a familial peck. "Gotta be faster than that Vally. How are you ever gonna catch me?" 

"My wegs are too sort," Val complained, pouting. He was still a few inches shorter than his big brother and sadly always would be. 

"Tha's why I carry you Vally. Now hop on my back," Isaac told him as he set the toddler down and turned around. Like a monkey, Val climbed on his big brothers back. Grabbing his legs to keep him safe, Isaac started running again.

Val and Isaac had been out in the woods, letting their wolves run free when Val fell asleep. Isaac knew the little one was tired. He picked the boy up and wrapped him up tight in his arms. "My little Beta," he whispered as he rocked him, keeping him close. He loved the boy more than he could begin to describe and he couldn't wait til the adoption was offical.
