just read your reasoning, i feel you. i absolutely cannot deal with slytherin louis though, i just don't see the ambition winning out over everything else.
Here's the thing though, ambition can be in many different forms and don't tell me that it wasn't ambition that got him into X factor and kept him there. His ambition is amazing, but he uses it for good. See all the charity work he has done, how he has expressed an interest in helping others reach their dreams. He absolutely is ambitious. It doesn't have to be a bad thing.
