this was really fun to do. I want to improve the… stiffness? Most of the sketches are very stiff. I’m improving lots though.

me: Can you tell me the origin of Tips' Eve (sp?)? The tradition of going out drinking with friends (or to a friends) the night before Christmas Eve. Is it just a Cape Breton Tradition or is it celebrated elsewhere? Where did it come from?

Librarian: First identified in 1785 ( Classical Dict. Vulgar Tongue) : Saint Tibb's evening, the evening of the last day, or day of judgement; he will pay you on St. Tibb's eve (Irish).
