I have a very slow Internet connection and don’t want Live Tiles using up my bandwidth for updates.

Is there a way to shut them off?

The built-in Photos app in Windows 8 has a live tile on the start screen that shows photos from your pictures library. It’s a cool little visual, even if it’s not particularly useful.

My Photos tile was showing several photos that I took to test my webcam. I deleted them, but the pictures are still showing up on my live tile (even after restarting my computer). How can I prevent them from showing up on the live tile?
