Kiss me goodbye bow your head and join with me. The Cure - Entreat Plus (2012) Don't skip - ALL OF THEM Underrated Track - Homesick WARNING : NERD ALERT!!! So no surprise that I LOVE THIS ALBUM so much! This is the live album of Disintegration recorded in July 1989 at Wembley Arena. And originally it was an 8 song release given away with HMV purchases of Disintegration in France only. I got the CD in 1991. This version with the full 12 Disintegration tracks was released on CD unofficially in 1998 and unofficially in 2010 with a new release of Disintegration in 2010. RSD handled the release on vinyl in 2012 but it is not an official RSD release, instead being a Rhino release. This is a 2016 pressing from the Czech Republic. OK...I might be slightly obsessed with this album and Disintegration as a whole...I mean it is my favorite album. I just love hearing these songs in any context. I would seriously lose my shit if they ever released the full Trilogy Concert from Berlin in 2002 on vinyl. But this to me is how I remember these songs sounding in 1989. Give this a listen and them listen to Disintegration...not because of anything except the fact that it is the greatest album ever. #perfectalbum #livealbum (at Chateau Ruff N Baker City Deux) https://www.instagram.com/p/Co0DDAUuwdH/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I put homophobes in coffins. IDLES - A Beautiful Thing : Live At Le Bataclan (2019) Don't skip - Colossus / White Privilege Underrated track - Cry To Me / Never Fight A Man With A Perm Joy As An Act Of Resistance is by far my favorite IDLES album. It actually is creeping farther by time up my list of favorite all time albums. It's just so incredibly good...and this is the love album that was spawned from that release and tour. If you haven't seen them live, do yourself a favor and go. Their show since the release of Joy has begun with Collosus, which honestly just plops you head first into the fray...and it makes you want to get in the pit like no other song I've heard live in a very long time. This double album set takes you through their catalog up to that date in a concise and strategic way. With little anecdotes thrown in, it really feels like you are there. And by the time the reworked soul classic Cry To Me slides in, you feel just as exhausted as if you had been there bouncing around the floor. And then you have the double kick of Well Done and Rottweiler to end the set. Just brutal and perfect. As you can see, I love this band. And honestly, I think even those who aren't into the harder side of post punk will love this. So spin it... Plus it has a nifty sort of zine format photo book in it...which is awesome in itself... #postpunk #livealbum (at Chateau Ruff N Baker City Deux) https://www.instagram.com/p/CopmxoaOnZC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
