There is an old fic that I absolutely love. It was posted on a livejournal called wafflestories and the fic is called Untenable. It is about Sherlock getting an injury and needing to go to one of his bolt holes from his past, as well as John’s search for him. It is short and sweet, but makes a huge impact. I read this in 2012 when it was new, and it still holds up.
