Mitchell Davis appreciation post.
Seven years ago I started having panic attacks and thought something was wrong with me because I didn’t know what was happening, so I started begging my parents to let me stay home from school so I didn’t have to go. The only things I enjoyed were taking pictures and watching YouTube videos. I remember the first video of yours that I watched, and I remember being so shocked because of the perspective you gave me. You talked about your anxiety and agoraphobia and how you wished that it was different, but that you were trying to deal with it, and that made me realize that I wasn’t the only person with these problems.
When you started talking about how much you loved photography and film and what you wanted to do with it, that was the first time another person had inspired me to create anything. From Party Music to Farewell Room, and all the way through now, you have continued to inspire me to do new things and meet new people. You’ve taught every one of your viewers that change is okay, and to be yourself no matter what people think, and I appreciate you for that. Thank you for continuing to create things and be your weird self, and thank you for helping me be me.
Happy birthday Mitchell! You deserve all the happiness.
