#Repost via @kat.mcnamara ••• Honored to be a part of @thecameronboycefoundation’s @WieldingPeace Project. I grew up baking with my grandmother, learning to create warmth, love, and joy in the form of baked goods and sweet surprises. She taught me that in thinking of something you can do for others, no matter how simple, or silly, or sweet it may seem, it can make all the difference in someone’s day or even in their entire life. We are one world of human beings sharing this Earth together, all trying to live happy fulfilling lives. We must learn to co exist peacefully. - to communicate, collaborate, and care for each other. Violence separates our world by engendering fear and hate that only serves to widen the divisions between us all. It is imperative that we whip ourselves into shape and blend into one community working together for a better world. Cameron was one of the better examples of this I have ever seen. He was always kind, present, compassionate, and made sure that every person he encountered felt not only included but truly seen. It always struck me how remarkable he was to possess this quality even from such a young age. So, my weapon of choice is a mixer. What’s yours? Join me in carrying on his legacy and his mission to stir up a movement to create a better world for our generation and those to follow. Let’s starve fear and hatred and feed love, positivity, kindness, and unity in ourselves and others to beat violence and wield peace. Take a moment to extend a kindness to someone in your life be it a loved one, a friend, or a stranger.
