How cheeky is that smile... it's hard to believe it's been five long years since I've seen you, laughed with you, cried with you or hugged you. Meet my little sister Aimee Lea, the driving force behind Alea Active and my angel guiding me through this journey. Aimee's battle is one to be admired, the sadness she felt in her heart was always overshadowed by the smile she wore on her face. That smile would ignite even more when she stepped onto the netball court with her teammates, wins, stacks and lots of strapping tape it was a happy place even for an hour or so each week. I encourage you to do the same, the road is not going to be easy and you will encounter bumps and tunnels along the way, but know that you are strong enough to get through this and the sunshine and fresh air is just around the corner ready to embrace you. Throw your hands around your loved ones and guide one another through. We are all here to help.
