There are so many taboo topics in the African American community; one subject that is still vastly misunderstood is that of menstruation in women. #AD I remember having my 1st period at the tender age of 12. I was getting ready to go out of town for a dance competition and I remember standing on top of my bathroom toilet, bent over in front of a mirror, and crying with my sister on the other side of the door trying to yell directions for how to use a tampon at me. My mom couldn’t help me; she didn’t know anything about those contraptions. 13 years later, I’m a tampon champion because I’m armed with @tampax Radiant tampons. These tampons are up to 100% leak and odor free, so I can do what I want and wear what I please without skipping a beat! What’s great about Tampax Radiant tampons is that they allow Black women to #LiveRadiant so nothing can dim my shine, not even my period. Trust and believe that my style and magic are protected, every day of the month. #Tampax (at Knoxville, Tennessee) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3x0Al8F-qU/?igshid=efgrmhc2vwv8
