You might’ve seen Earth Spirit shoes while perusing the isles of Walmart and then didn’t think much of them. You might’ve thought that they look like shoes a hippie, older lady would wear. Does Carol Baskin design these? But more recently, this brand has received a little bit of an upgrade. Let’s be real here, the hippie is still there, but you can tell that Earth Spirit has been looking at recent trends for inspiration. The sandals above remind me of the Sam Edelman Adrella, except with a padded footbed, and they’re only $20!
Number 2. Dr. Scholls
Purchase on Dr. Scholls.com
That’s right! They make more than just insoles. I have three pairs of Dr. Scholl’s shoes in my closet... that alone should tell you how I feel about these. I wore my Dr. Scholl’s Original Collection Point toe flats all day at work and my feet feel fine! Unfortunately these flats are no longer sold on the official website, but these $30 loafers look like they’d be even comfier! And if you’re environmentally conscious they also have a sustainable line.
Number 3. Birkenstock
Purchase on Birkenstock.com
Birkenstocks have been trendy in recent years and I really, REALLY hope these shoes stay trendy for a long time. These are some of the comfiest shoes to have ever graced my feet. With their anotomically shaped cork footbed, Birkenstocks don’t need the padding to be comfortable. I wear mine on weekend shifts at work and I’ve never had any foot pain. Not only that, but they last a very long time. I recieved my first pair of Birks in 2015 and didn’t have to buy a new pair until 2020, even after wearing them every week! The Birkenstocks pictured are $75
Number 4. Hoka
Purchase on Hokaoneone.com
Do you remember jumping on your bed when you were a kid? That’s kind of what it feels like to jump in a pair of Hokas! These are by far the most comfortable shoes I own. It really feels like you’re walking on a mattress all day long. These shoes come at a higher price point than the others I’ve mentioned, but its SO worth it! My favorite of the two I own are the Bondi 7s priced $150.
Number 5. Reef
Purchase on Reef.com
I never intended to buy these shoes, in fact, I had never heard of them until I won them in an Instagram giveaway last year. I’m so glad I won that giveaway because these shoes have become one of my go to shoes when I want to wear something fun and comfortable. Like Birkenstocks, these shoes have a contoured footbed which provides comfort and arch support, but the platform adds hight and is a fun touch! The Cushion Vista Hi is $55, a great alternative to Birkenstock if you ask me!

Okay! This ask ha been sitting in my inbox for over a month. It’s time to answer it. So, there isn’t a lot about myself that I’d say I love, but who knows, one day I believe I could love all of myself! But here’s the current things I love about myself in some way.
1) My teeth, I’ve been really trying to improve on the whole oral care thing and it looks like it’s starting to pay off! Yayyyyyy!
2) I don’t know if this counts but dammit all to hell I’m going to put it in here anyways! I love my writing skills, they may not be the best or whatever but I love them anyways. I know there are people that struggle to write anything and I really can’t imagine life like that. I love writing. It’s one of the few things I really, really enjoy doing. I may not always like the end result but I love writing all the same.
3) I love the person I’ve become in terms of my opinions. I think I’ve become a more rounded person overall and it’s lead to some very interesting conversations and ideas.
4) i love the fact that I will carry on with a run on joke until I’ve beaten it dead and then continue beating it until it’s funny again but for slightly different reasons. You won’t catch me getting tired of any jokes!
5) I’m going to leave this one blank. I want all of you guys to put one or more things that they love about themselves! Spread positivity!
