I've seen a lot of people say that the manga will end in October 2018...I didn't believe it at first but everyone seems quite sure like it's been confirmed...Please tell me it's not true:(
This is where the idea of the manga ending this year spawned from:
In September 2013, he stated that he wanted to end the series in Volume 20; but in June 2015 he claimed that the manga was “60% finished” at that point, and in September of the same year his editor, Kawakubo Shintaro, estimated that there were “about three years worth of manga chapters left”. Which, if true, would mean that the manga would be ending around late 2018 or after 26+ volumes.- SOURCE
At this point, however, I believe it is safe to assume this will not be the case. No set date has been made for the finale of the manga, and truthfully, there is no way I can realistically see how in hell Isayama would be able to wrap up all the loose ends still remaining in the series of snk as a whole within eight chapters. With the way things are shaping up, I expect the manga to end on either chapter 120 or 125, which would mean at least another two years. I could be wrong, but this is what I see as being the most logical expectation.
GURL YOU SHOULD DRAW MORE CONNIE! CONNIE (OR ANY CHARACTER TBH) + YOUR ARTSTYLE = EYE HEAVEN. ALSO I LOVE THAT BOY AND I MISS HIM LOTS SO YOUR DRAWING HIT ME RIGHT IN THE FEELS
GURL I HAVEN'T DRAWN ANYTHING YET THIS YEAR SO I FEEL YOU EVEN MORE STRONGLY THAN JUST DRAWING CONNIE
hello ^^ I'm not trying to start shit I'm genuinely confused please don't take this the wrong way...I love both Reiner and Eren and obviously you can have an opinion and dislike any character for any reason but in this case neither person is morally better than the other so isn't using the "he's going to kill so many innocent people" argument is a double standard since Reiner has done the same?
Isayama has been painting Reiner and Eren asrivals. A rival is a person a character never aspires to become, implying theircharacter traits are opposite. Indeed, while Eren flees away fromresponsibility, Reiner endorses it. So far, Reiner has been acknowledging hispast mistakes. Eren twists his mistakes by letting fate or any supernaturalphenomenon decide (“It had to happen”, “how can we know the right choice”, “Ihad no choice”, “I was born this way”).
That definition also implies these two willnever reach a common ground. The only thing they can do is stop the other.Considering these two are opposites, it’s logic someone can appreciate one insteadof the other and vice-versa. People can also like them both, or neither of them.
Both have a questionable moral stance if wetake account of the killing count and the reason for why these people had todie. The reactions and the acknowledgment are different on Eren and Reiner’sside. When Eren is about to kill all these civilians, he casts allresponsibility and guilt away, because these people have to die, despite himbeing fully aware of his place and the Eldians’ place in the world. From Reiner’sperspective, he clung to the belief the inhabitants of Paradis were Eldiandevils, despite befriending them. As a result, he got lost in his beliefs, tried to restrain himself as hard as he could and even developed a cope-outpersona because he couldn’t handle his actions.
And here, in this chapter, Reiner finallyconfesses how bad he felt about everything that transpired on Paradis. He doesn’ttry to shift the blame on anyone or anything here. He straight up saideverything was his fault. Still, at the very root of this case, Reiner wasobeying orders. Marley, the warriors, they all consented to obliterate Paradis.Meanwhile, no one’s forcing Eren to go on a rampage. Nobody sends him to goobliterate the world in the quest of freedom. It would only have badconsequences on Paradis and Eldia in general.
There’s a reason why we switched perspectivesand adopting Reiner as the protagonist. He isn’t a perfect angel, but at leasthe’s capable of seeing his past mistakes. How he will develop from now on is upto his role in this war. I like to think he will get some redemption bystopping Eren’s attack.
Pairing: Zeke x Pieck ~~~ Title: "the one time you were not right" :D
Oh man that’s hard, Pieck is always right and that’s to be expected. Hmm okay,
Summary:
Zeke couldn’t contain his shock, dismay, and utter despair when a single phrase was uttered. Incorrect, from the mouth of none other than Pieck. How does one move on when their entire world is brought down around them?
I LOVE THE NEW RIVAMIKA ART OML 👌
;3
You have no idea how thankful I am for the meta you wrote about what Eren's words meant. Chapter 97 was too much for me 😂 so I haven't been able to think clearly and I was jumping to the worst conclusions and making very pessimistic scenarios in my head (I even thought that Mikasa is dead don't ask why lol) . Your theories cleared my head and were a huge relief so thanks :D
Aww I’m so glad my meta’s helped you, sweetheart <3 Thank you so much for your kind message. I hope my future lengthy ass theories will continue to be a relief for you :) <3
do you think there's a chance that season 3 will include both the uprising and the return to shingansina arc? or was it confirmed that there will only be the uprising?
Nothing is confirmed yet, but I’m not holding my breath for two cours. I know a lot of folks are speculating it from the advertisement at the end of season two announcing season three for this year before showing the manga that contains the RtS arc, but I don’t think that’s enough to go on to warrant any hype
I’ve already seen people discussing the possibility of another one cour season and saying it would destroy the fandom, but I don’t think that’s true. I think another multiple year wait would destroy the fandom. I’d rather get one cour every year instead of two cours every four years. Not to mention, the Uprising arc is my favorite arc so I’ll be hype either way, and I am really not sure if I’m ready to relive the serum bowl and to see it animated.
