It had taken a while for them to find a night that they were both free, given the nature of their jobs. Also given the nature of their jobs, it found them out for dinner on a Thursday night, when the city was quieter than it would have been on the weekend. Dinner had been -- well, it had been really lovely. She’d felt a surprising bit of nerves before, but those had quickly melted away, and now they were leaving the restaurant, heading out onto the street. “I think I’ll dream of that pasta forever.”
