Happy 3 years to HL!! (And to my crippling HL hyperfixation) I love getting to know all your ocs, so this seems like a perfect way to see everyone’s collages HEHE

A little explanation (if anyone cares HAHA)

An animal that suits their personality:

A fawn. She looks sweet as biscuits and doe eyed but can be deceptive in nature…never judge a book by its cover guys

A colour that fits their vibe:

Lavender!! It’s her fav colour after all, and one of the smells in her amortentia is lavender sooooo

A song that feels like them:

I have a few that I like to use on rotation, currently it’s Headlock by Imogen Heap! Like I’ve listened to it so much that it’s my top song in my Spotify wrapped last year (I think I’ve heard it for 157 times thanks to liya)

Something that their passionate about:

Chinese calligraphy! She finds it relaxing to paint each stroke but hates how she always gets ink stains on her fingers. (Sebastian always teases her about that)

An object important to them:

Sun and moon rings that was gifted from Sebastian on her birthday in her 7th year in Hogwarts! It was later revamped into their wedding rings hehe (I BOUGHT THE PANDORA SUN AND MOON RINGS IRL SO IM MATCHING TOO AND I WEAR THEM EVERYDAY)

A weather that fits their mood:

Rainy weather despite it being sunny. It represents her inner melancholy vs the outwardly cool disposition she tries to portray (we love a performative girly)

The food that they’d offer as their last meal:

Chocolate. Lots of it. Give her a whole tub and she’s satisfied. At least the dopamine from the sugar will make her die happy. (Jk, she has a debilitating fear of death like me so she will never find peace at the mere notion of that)

Phew! I finally did this HEHEHEH (also, this is Liya’s Canon handwriting too ^^) And yessss, she becomes a dictator minister for magic after hogwarts and goes on to establish her manifesto…

What fruit would your OC (s) be?

If Liya (my Hogwarts legacy OC) was a fruit, it would be her most hated fruit — The Pomegranate.

Liya hated them.

She did not have the patience nor the time to meticulously cut and peel the fruit open just for it to look like an absolute mess on the inside. It wasn’t worth the time nor the effort.

Maybe she despised them because of how much she saw herself in them. Liya liked the way she was perceived. She was effortlessly smart, composed, and elegant on the outside. Smooth and appealing.

But as soon as someone tried to open her up, everything spilled out — all the bottled up anger, the regret, the guilt, and the heavy weight of her sins — and the consensus was unanimous. It wasn’t worth the trouble.

The illusion was now shattered. Liya was prettier, more impressive, more appealing on the outside. On the inside, however, lay a different story. She was a mess. She was bitter and sharp in some parts, easily broken in others. She was a burden, tough to handle and even tougher to love.

But who could blame them? Liya knew the harsh reality deep in her heart too. She knew there was too much bitterness packed tightly in a much too fragile shell — a shell, too good to be true, that seemed tough on the outside.

When her true essence was splayed out on display, all everyone’s left with was the inevitable wave of disappointment. The aftermath too tedious for anyone to bother cleaning up.

And maybe that’s why Liya was terrified of not being able to uphold everyone’s expectations…because she would much rather fake a persona that everyone liked than be the bitter, jagged flesh that everyone regrets ever picking up.

Liya Chang vs The Fallen Angel

I’m not sure if anyone will join this picrew but I love the concept! I interpreted it as the duality of Liya’s character. So, on the left is her normal persona holding a fresh flower but on the right, her fallen angel persona is carrying a wilted flower…which represents how Liya’s morality became corrupted as time went by (thanks to the keepers, sebastian and ancient magic…)

But it can be interpreted in many different ways!

And of course, The Fallen Angel concept is something very special and dear to Liya’s character! (I have a whole post on that haha)
