another song I was playing tonight and thinking about just how emo I was being, whew. I feel for my young self.
“I wish to be rescued / I wish to be healed / I wish to be wanted / I wish to be revealed”

thinking about this song I made and released in 2012, "In Dreams." I think I wrote it in summer 2010.
I chase them in my sleep, always in dreams While we fall for the ideas in every song we sing And we ran through the sprinklers in the black summer night Ran until our bodies took flight, took flight
you’re the one with the dark hair with speckles of grey near your temples I see empires in your eyes when you speak there are rings around fingers forgotten until we wake up in the morning to another weather forecast that’s nothing but bleak we sleep next to radiators with the television on old movies provide comfort of a time long gone we sleep next to radiators with our eyes shut tight fighting off our demons in the middle of the night I’ve got metal in my bones I am an artificial being I see love songs in your teeth when you smile the scars we hide under clothing represent things hard to explain but we could analyze them nonetheless, for awhile don’t give up we can make it we sleep next to radiators with the television on old movies provide comfort of a time long gone we sleep next to radiators with our eyes shut tight fighting off our demons in the middle of the night
- still proud of this one
I once wrote a song about the changes that happen in the fall. sometimes it feels like all you did was blink and everything was different. the song is about transitions, like the leaves falling off the trees for winter.
this is the title track from the album I released in 2012. starting today, the album is available as a free download.
I just discovered that my "Downbound Train" cover has 1,064 views. damn! people are nice.
today, galacticvacationer reminded me that I made this video. this cover ranks pretty high on my personal favorites list.
TONIGHT!
