A: realistic headcanon

When he’s not busy plotting evil schemes, he’s super involved with the HGC. It’s not like he has a bunch of minions running round after him (well, he does, but still), he actually makes a hell of a lot of effort. He knows all the ghosts by name and all of the regular lifers, he’s always making sure everyone is well cared for and having a good time, he’s always thinking about new routines or fun new movie nights to do etc. He’s not all bad, he really does care about his funky little gay club!

B: unrealistic but funny to think about headcanon

I guess it kind of follows on from the top one, but I love thinking about Caleb being So Done with the bullshit and shenanigans the other HGC ghosts pull. He feels like he’s running his own little afterlife daycare sometimes. “Willie, I swear to god, put out that fire!” “Dante, care to explain who broke my new crystal chandelier?” “I’m going to count to ten and if my brand new jacket isn’t returned to me by then you’re all fired.”

C: heart-crushing and awful headcanon that’s fun to inflict on friends

Oop here we go with the Reggie angst 👀 kind of a spin on the kind of stuff we’ve talked about before. In a reality where the boys - for whatever reason - stay with Caleb, he actually does try to better himself. Knowing the boys, having met Julie, getting to know these good people has made him genuinely want to change. And also genuinely want to adopt Reggie because he can see that boy needs parents (and sadly Ray is kind of not an option anymore). So Caleb does his best to prove he’s changed, that he’s better, that he could be there for the boys, but Reggie has been hurt before. A lot. So no part of him can learn to trust Caleb and he keeps evading all of Caleb’s attempts to connect. So Caleb ends up feeling even more lost and alone and struggling than he felt even when he wasn’t good and it ends up breaking him just a little (read: a lot).

D: unrealistic but I will disregard canon for it

Saw three queer ghosts, felt sorry for them, and was genuinely just trying to make them part of the HGC family, but went a very wrong way about it

I can imagine Victor playing with some lizards in Jek’s garden

he keeps on bringing in lizards and jekyll is so tired of finding random lizards all over the place. he sees victor offering some dead bug to an unseen lizard under the couch and he just sighs. he and griffin have to step around pieces of lettuce and little dishes of water that victor left out so the escaped lizards dont die. victor has yet to account for fluffy.

#gradblrchallenge 08/25/2019

The past week was completely cannibalized by some non-school things I'm working on (and the aftermath of my 26th birthday cough cough hangover), BUT my advisor is happy with my progress on The Big Paper as of our meeting this week and on board with my general (vague, chaotic) plan for the semester.

It's Sunday and my schedule is packed as of, like, 8 a.m. tomorrow. I just got home from the department's annual welcome back brunch (underwhelming, as usual, but lox bagels!), and I'm *so* torn between spending the rest of the day cleaning my apartment, washing my sheets, working on my calendar, and otherwise getting my ducks in a row for the semester, and gifting myself the gift of drinking the rest of the birthday Hamm's and tattooing myself while I make a dent in my Netflix queue. But the day is young yet and who says I can't do both? Laundry in the machine, trash and recycling taken out, candles lit, beer cracked, dumb lizard (bottom photo) watching on with great skepticism 📚
