When I worked with Roberta, even if we were incredibly behind, she would encourage us to go to classes and get food because she recognized that we needed to step away

That sounds about right, and the new department head honestly wouldn’t begrudge students needing to step away and get food.

It’s definitely a flaw in the program model. It’s always appropriate to get to an appropriate stopping place and walk away and say that you need to eat before continuing.

Definitely. I expect Roberta and Brendan would call it if they felt like it was going so long the students wouldn’t get to eat, but idk how far behind lights and sound are.

It's totally normal to have IA technicians stagger their lunches so the call doesn't have to come to a halt completely, but people can still comply by the rules and take appropriate breaks.

The IA hands are being staggered, but as near as I can tell the students are being expected to work through their dinner break? It doesn;t really effect me personally since there’s nothing I could really do that’ll be dry by next go, but it just strikes me as something they should be encouraging students to do?
