“I’m surprised you came.” Her tone wasn’t unkind or superficial, but one of genuine surprise. Angelina was, of course, happy to see her eldest there, for personal and professional reasons, but it definitely caught her a bit off-guard. She looked her up and down, deciding against making any comment about her outfit- even compliments could sound condescending when it came to Angelina with her children, “But I’m glad you came, Ali. You know I always want you around.” Though, the mayor was not always the best at making things like that clear to her family, not when criticism was often her first reaction and the pressure she put on second nature.

a starter for @lizholbrook​  location: liz’s apartment (in the evening???) 

After not hearing from her eldest daughter for a few days- which wasn’t unheard of, Angelina was just insane- she decided it was best to just go see Liz herself. Not to apologize for their... conversation at the gala or anything like, she was mostly going just to check in. To attempt to spend that extra time she had told Liz that she wanted- without the pressure of some event. 

She knocked on the door and waited. Announcing herself, she feared, would cause her daughter not to answer the door at all.

fallon charming had ears everywhere and she was always a step forward into donating into ventures and who else to bring into this new venture than mírela cárter and liz holbrook. as she asks for a spare minute of their time. the trio is sitting in a far away table sharing their liquor of their choice ( except mirela of course ) ❝ I wanted to see you girls, I’m thinking that maybe we can all get into business together. ❞ she was always down to talk money ❝ I’m thinking something that the public here truly needs and that’s fashion and culture. I’ll put the money down and once the business picks up, we can see how we can split the winnings, shall we make business together ? ❞
