How j3 sees himself vs how Ellie sees him is so funny to me. Poor j3 is convinced he’s not a person he’s a xerox of a xerox he’s a vessel for other people’s wants and needs, he’s shallow he’s spineless he’s empty he stands for nothing, meanwhile Ellie is like I know your go to takeout order and your favorite bad movies and universal monsters and which niche d list reality tv celebrities you would stand by like a cancelled wife and I can whistle the song you hum when you come home from work and I know your favorite throw blanket and place to sit on the couch and which shoes you wear for which occasion and which sample perfumes you take from the catalogues and which tattoos you want someday and where and which spells give you the most trouble and i know all your different smiles and what they mean and i can tell what mood you’re in by the color of the scarf you choose and and I know every joke you make before you make it and your opinion on every classic even though you pretend that you don’t like to read and I know you’ve memorized me too because you secretly care so much you’re a person you’re a person can’t you see that you’re a person can’t you see that you’re my favorite person

sometimes J3 sneaks out of the townhome with Ellie who is wearing her ring of disguise self but b/c they only have one ring it becomes a thing where sometimes the aguefort students spot "jace stardiamond" around town w some anonymous woman to the point its treated like a "cryptid spotting". Who is this mysterious girlfriend of allegedly heterosexual jace stardiamond? Agent Clark, could there be something nefarious afoot? Fig Faeth, get her on the complicated woman podcast immediately!

The thing abt LJ3 is that the moral question about what they’re doing and any self doubt about it is kinda quashed by the fact that they’re tortured basement clones. Like of course Ellie does kinda tie herself in knots abt this stuff meanwhile j3 is like lol if it’s taboo that only makes it hotter, but ultimately they’re both like [in the voice of that im probably nonbinary tweet] we’re probably committing selfcest but i have a job so idrc about that rn

J3 convincing Ellie to play hooky so that he can drag her to the beach is is usually a beat in their relationship i save for when they're together but i actually think its way cuter if he does it super early on b/c even tho he doesn't know her that well, he can tell she's been super depressed and wants to cheer her up. She's really wary about it at first to the point of them being at the beach and she's like. What do you want from me dude? Are you trying to sleep with me? Thanks for everything, it's been really nice but I'm never gonna fuck you, just so you know. & of course its not that J3 isn't interested in her, but he's tabled that desire as a long shot & its so far from his mind that he genuinely feels kinda bad b/c he doesn't want her to be stressed abt ulterior motives or anything. But by the end of the night she's kinda changing her tune like y'know... i had a really great time today [radiorebel hairtuck dot gif] & she gives him a little kiss on the cheek in thanks
