The Important First Post

Hi! Hello, and welcome.

I've been using tumblr for ages, and I've also had an unlimited card for at least a year (This is the scheme that my local Cineworld Cinema runs which allows me to pay £14,99 a month and see as many films as I like) so I decided to merge the two together as I a) like the tumblr platform and b) have a degree in English Lit and Creative Writing which I am not currently putting to any use. (In case any of you are wondering, which you may or probably more likely may not be, this is the concept behind my tumblr name. Me + unlimited card + cinema + tumblr + film reviews. It's fairly self explanatory. If you are wondering what lkwrnr is, that's fairly self explanatory too - it's my name with no vowels).

I've been meaning to set up a film review blog for a while now; especially as I do see nearly every film that comes through the cinema (I enjoy it) and I have been desperately trying (read: putting off or not making time at all) to do more writing. I also feel I have somewhat ahem unique views on many things... stories, actors, films; the world.

I don't claim to be a film buff or know everything about films, what makes them good, study their history and development, or even that I have any clue about what I'm writing. Nor do I promise that you will agree with my opinions, or that these updates will be very regular. (I'll probably forget/lose motivation/get bored after a week or so).

FYI, for a little bit of background - there are lots of films I haven't seen. I didn't grow up with watching many; I had somewhat of a limited childhood upbringing and development. I have lots of intentions of reviewing films that I have seen in the past... but for now it will be current films that are at the Cinema now and in the coming weeks.  I also like the phrase "from a writer's perspective"....

  Oh and I'm also an openly gay single male, so I make no apologies for focusing large parts of these reviews on the eye candy and how gorgeous they are. Ha.
