A hello, and writing projects update <3
It has occurred to me that there are still people reading my old fanfiction on here? Absolutely mortifying, thank you for enjoying my old decrepit ancient writing, I love you.
I have unfortunately disappeared from the fanfiction community because I have been doing a lot of work on my degrees, one of which is a now fully achieved bachelor's in creative writing.
first of all THANK YOU ALL because I probably wouldn't have gone for it if I wasn't encouraged by the reception I received here and from my friends for the writing I did in high school and my freshman year in college.
Now, for what's to follow? Well, the work now is in a master's in journalism (separate from here of course) and promoting the poetry book that I put together and released into the world on my own!! It is called Life, Love & All The Important Things and it is readily available to buy online, right here (cover displayed below entirely drawn/put together by me!)
Purchasing my poetry book actually does support me, since I self-published online, so every purchase gives me a little more grocery money, since I am now, regretfully, an adult living on my own (terrible). but it also gets you 123 poems about being a writer, a young queer woman, a dog owner, a grieving dog owner, and a human person. But I know, a poetry book in this economy? So I'm not asking, just showing, don't worry.
Moving on from that, I am currently working through actually Writing the novel I've been Plotting since high school, and I am so excited and impatient to share these characters and their story with you.
Ava, Kiera and Miles are being actively written into life right now so if anyone here is interested in a vaguely sci-fi, casually queer, American road trip on-the-run, found family type of novel heavily inspired by the fandoms I've been writing about here for about a decade (?!?!) drop an ask or reply and ask questions!! I can't wait to make them just as real to you all as they are to me and to talk to people about them
Outside of this, talk to me at all!! I'd love to get asks in again after this page being so inactive for so long. And I have a couple weeks off before I have classes again so I would happily add you all to the list of people I plan to harass with this free time.
