Hello Everyone! We wanted to give you a quick update on things, since things have settled down for the most part. Please give this post a like when you’ve read it! There’s some important information below. 

First, please note that there are only two active mods at the moment, and we both have full time jobs. We have a third person who is helping with smaller tasks but also works full time. Limelight was never expected to grow like this at such a fast rate, and we really appreciate your patience with us. Things will not always get answered immediately and we will try our best to be timely for reserves, applications, forms, etc. 

Secondly, we wanted to give you a bit of a timeline of updates for the group. 

Activity Checks will begin after December 1st, we ask for an original post every three days and dash interaction. These rules may change in 2024. 

We plan on creating a resources blog, where we hope to connect writers looking for specific plots or help folks check out new supernatural species/powers to use! We will also announce birthdays here. This will likely launch January 1st. 2024

We will have a gossip blog! This gossip blog will be known as Blacklight, with a podcast-like feel. A few things to note: 

There will be updates on music releases, achievements, big games, etc. for current members. The key to these updates will be based on group members submitting information to upkeep everyone having a chance in the spotlight. 

The gossip will also be in charge of announcing events run by members of the group (parties, get togethers, group trips, etc).

For those of you who opted to be part of it, there will be a monthly randomized group of members who will be selected for various themed interviews. When you have been interviewed, your name will be removed from the randomizer for the next few months to avoid repeats. 

The gossip will play games and interact with members as well. Please just remember to keep things light and respectful. 

We are hoping to launch this by February 1st. 

We also have plans for events, but we will likely start those in the summer of 2024, and will begin with short 3-4 day trips. These events will not be monthly. 

Lastly, we currently do not have plans to add another member to our team. We just ask for your patience and understanding!

Hello everyone! We apologize for the radio silence this week. We, as mods, had quite a busy OOC week but that week also included a discussion amongst us. As mods, as people in the community, and all, we came to a decision to close Limelight. We know there are lots of you that will need a place to take your characters and for that, we apologize as we know that can be stressful with plots and multiple characters. Ultimately, we came to this decision because none of us were prepared for this large of a group. To everyone who has been kind to us from the start, it was really appreciated as motivation to push through but we cannot dedicate the time or energy needed to create the kind of space we’d like with the amount of people here.

The three of us wish you the best and thank you for the time you all gave us.

Good morning everyone! Just a quick note, we now have a masterlist for everyone's abilities/species that you can find here. Anyone who listed that they wanted their abilities/species hidden has been listed as human! But please take a look and let us know if anything needs to be changed!
