LawLu Story Idea 13
Growing up together, cannon-verse. Cora-san survives Doffy’s attack thanks to the help of the nearby marines which he managed to contact around the time he was shoving the ope-ope-no-mi down Law’s throat. After much persuasion, he manages to convince Sengoku to let him raise Law as his son. Unfortunately, after Cora recovers from his injuries he is sent out on missions, leaving Law all by himself, or in the company of marines, who he still resents because of what happened to Flevance. This results in Law becoming very lonely, though he is too stubborn to admit it out loud.
Four years later Vice Admiral Garp approaches Cora to ask him if he could take care of his grandson. Garp never mentioned Law, but Cora had a feeling he had proposed this idea as a way to solve both their problems. And maybe this will help convince Luffy to give up the whole “I’m going to be a pirate” business and become a marine instead! Cora, seeing how giving Law a friend could do him a world of good, agrees to adopt Luffy as his second son.
And so Luffy and Law are introduced and after a rough start the two become like brothers. They grow up together and over time begin to realize that the feelings they have for the other are no longer brotherly.
I know that the idea of them growing up together is not quite original, but at least one or two that I have seen have not been updated for years, even though they have so much potential. ;( Sorry about probably excluding Ace and Sabo from the story, they are all such great brothers, but they might get in the way of Law and Luffy’s love. This could be an ASLL story if you wanted it to be, though.
