He had vanished. Again. Suddenly blipped away from this new, unfamiliar world. And just as quickly, he had been back. And yet it had felt like ages. Thinking he would be away forever. Thinking he would never see any of the others again, and that he would have to face his fate in their own world. He had vanished, and just when he was making amends, and when he was forming bonds with those he would never have expected, even if... there was a part of him that truly wanted it.
Lloyd was one of those people. He had considered Lloyd to be a good person, but back in their world, there was no way they could truly be friends. Their paths didn’t line up. They were enemies. Even if Lloyd’s group provided a sense of comfort for him, he wished to reach his end goal no matter what. He wished to complete what he had started. Besides, after everything that happened, he had grown tired of living... he had been ready to go. To finally rest. Was that wrong to admit?
Crossing paths with the young idealist again, Mithos was unsure what to say. He had extended a hand to him shortly before his disappearance. He hadn’t been prepared for such a thing. In some way, it made him nervous. For there to be such a change. To be truly, wholly accepted after so long, despite his actions. Not his facade, but -- just him.
“Lloyd? About what you said before, I would ... like to thank you.”
“This change is sudden and strange, but I do think it would be better for us to at least consider one another allies... to treat one another as acquaintances.... for Genis, too.”
“I know you agree. You came to a similar conclusion before. I’m sorry for being difficult, it’s just...”
It was hard to allow himself to really feel. To truly trust in another person.
