“Event Horizon” Series In the Works

Amazon and Paramount Television have partnered to develop a series based on 1997′s Event Horizon film. Adam Wingard is serving as executive producer and director. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Jeremy Platt will also executive produce the series.

Event Horizon found a rescue crew investigating a spaceship that suddenly reappears after previously disappearing into a black hole. Unfortunately, something came back with the ship.

Variety broke the news.

Huge news here.  This is a really gritty, brilliantly told fantasy tale with diverse casting and richly nuanced, deeply engaging writing.  Very excited to see this property moving forward.
