I LOVE THE IMPLICATIONS OF THIS WHOLE THING BEING AN AWFUL POWER MOVE ON LBD'S PART TO SHOW SHE CAN MAKE THEM HURT EACHOTHET ESSENTIALLY HOLDING WUKONG AND MACAQUE HOSTAGE VIA THEIR OWN SELVES. Like if they try and disobey they'll have this memory engraved into their brains and with the possession/mind controlling she would essentially make them more eager to avoid never doing this again by being closer to emotionless husks at least around her (i love this au sm)

And it's definitely a big part of LBDs' intentions!!! There is a bit more (that you could not possibly guess rn) that she's got planned, but you'll see that second part of her motivation soon enough! :]

*Jsut a theory* Does Lady Bone demon want Macaque dead so she can get the Silent and slightly robotic powerhouse that is Possessed Wu Kong back?

I love hearing y'alls theories! And this is a good guess! :D Though, as you will find out in later episodes, LBD could actually rip the Whispering Spirits out of Macaque whenever she wants to, in case she ever needs that extra energy/power!
